The city of Chania is the second largest city on the island of Crete, after Heraklion. It is coastal and is the administrative, financial, commercial and communication center of the entire prefecture. The city of Chania is built on the ruins of Ancient Kydonia. Its history is engraved in many monuments, as it was besieged by many raiders.
It is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Greece, as well as the whole of Crete, although it was bombed and burned several times in its long history. This place hides something magical both in its endless beauty from corner to corner and in its history. So it is no coincidence that every year it hosts many thousands of people from all over the world.
A destination ideal because it combines luxury with austerity, the fairy tale with reality; the fake with the real. Stone alleys with pink, red, orange flowers and small shops appear in front of you and this lighthouse is what it is; all eyes are drawn and suddenly an awe catches you as soon as you are in front of it. This city is magical and let it not be huge; it fits us all. You can visit the Venetian Port, the Lighthouse, the Archaeological Museum, the Maritime Museum, the Neoria, the Municipal Market, the Venetian Walls, the Synagogue, the Firkas Fortress, the Giali Tzamisi and the imposing Trimartyri Temple.
